Our story began in July 2017 when we first met, unaware that we would become the bestest of friends.

The first (actual) date
Marco picked me up from my grandma's house, where I was spending the night. We had bakmi karet ayam kampung for breakfast, which was Marco's first time trying it. We then explored the city, visiting the biennale, where I purchased a hat and tried wearing a jacket adorned with protruding pencils. As we walked around Kemang that night, the drizzle began, prompting us to take shelter in a restaurant. We ordered a bottle of wine and fries, marking our very first date.

The proposal
After an 11-hour bus ride from Paris, we arrived in Berlin at around 9 in the morning. We spent the whole day strolling around, queued for two hours for kebab, and ate lots of curry wurst. Initially, we planned to head to Berghain at night, but we fell asleep and awoke at around 5.30 a.m. and decided to go anyway. That morning was one of a kind, to say the least. We then stepped out of there on a sunny day to have curry wurst once again for breakfast.

On that day, while en route between museums and other places, we rode a scooter through a vast and beautiful park with fallen leaves covering its ground. We sat down by a huge tree, and Marco took out his red beanie and gave it to me to discover what was inside; it was a ring box. I laughed, we laughed, and then we hugged and I cried. I said yes, and we took a picture of us and left, knowing that we had made the best memory there.
